Shilpa has also judged a different dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa earlier. Shilpa is happy to be part of Dance show after marriage as it won't take much of her time.
"I actually liked the idea of the performance and they are bringing it on a grander scale this time," she said.
"Dancing is always something that I loved. This is my third stint on television and every year it keeps getting improved."
When asked how different is this reality show,, she said, "Every performance is unique from the other.
"The members are celebs and the show is dance oriented, but the edge will be the battle between guys and women, which is always great entertainment."
She added, "We have got a whole bunch of dances. It would be more theatrical and cinematically, it would be more interesting to watch."
Meanwhile, Shilpa has allegedly been approached by an global publishing house for the rights to her autobiography.
"I have been approached three to four times to write my autobiography. But right now, I don't have any intentions of taking it forward. I am little childish for it," she said.
Since her first film Baazigar in 1993 Shilpa has appeared in over 40 pictures. In Baazigar, Shetty took the supporting role of Seema, co-starring alongside Shahrukh Khan and Kajol; the movie was a major hit and earned her a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.
Shilpa became a heroine in 1994 with the release of the movie Aag. This was an average hit. She had another hit that same year with the film Main Khiladi Tu Anari opposite Akshay Kumar. Then came a string of flops and average movies from her.
Shilpa shetty was the first Indian celebrity to take part in a reality show, and she emerged as winner. Reportedly paid Rs.31.5 m (£367,500 GBP) for her participation, she said to presenter Davina McCall, "I just want all Indian to be exceptionally proud that I'm in here". As for her participation, she acknowledged: "I have zero expectations. The only thing I sincerely hope to keep is my self-respect and my dignity." Her sister Shamita told the Times of India that this "is the boldest decision Shilpa has taken hitherto."
In August 2008, Shetty started hosting the second season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. Controversially, Jade Goody was one of the opening house mates. Goody left the Bigg Boss House early in the series after receiving reports that she had cervical cancer, of which she later died on 22 March 2009.
On 15 April 2007, Richard Gere kissed Shetty on the cheek a number of times in jest during an AIDS-awareness event. They were preaching safe sex to truck drivers as part of promoting AIDS awareness. The kiss, considered an attack on India's cultural and moral values, prompted protesters - alleged members of the extremist Hindu group Shiv Sena - to beat burning effigies of Gere with sticks. Others set fire to glamor shots of Shetty. People demanded an apology from her and threatened to bar her movies in the state. Shiv Sena leaders denied involvement in the protests, but Shiv Sena member of parliament Sanjay Raut observed that the protests are "just a manifestation of the anger of the common public" and that there was "nothing wrong with expressing contempt at such an action".
