Well, all of us already know why a person should learn Spanish online. It is a highly popular language of communication today. It is in people\'s best interest that they learn to speak Spanish. The question now is not why one should learn it. It is only how one could learn Spanish. Methods, of course, abound. Only choices have to be made by individuals.

Learning Spanish At Home:

1. Online help to learn Spanish: Learning Spanish online is perhaps the best way to learn the intricacies of the language. One can take online Spanish lessons with the help of an online Spanish tutor or a live Spanish tutor online, according to one\'s preference. The training can be keyed in, or can be oral, based on whether one has a microphone or not. The best part of learning Spanish online is the fact that one can learn from within the luxury of his home and proceed as he chooses.

2. Using books: There is rarely a library that does not have enough supply of books, or tapes in audio or video form, that provide lessons for learning Spanish at home. Of course, there is the rigmarole of selecting, picking up and testing them to decide if it is suitable. Then these have to be periodically returned and renewed. Still, the method leaves one free to choose the tempo of one\'s progress.

3. Correspondence School - This is a school where you take classes at home and mail in your homework. This is another method of learning at home and learning at your own pace. The downsides to this method include the lack of real-time interaction, lack of live practice, and waiting for the mail to bring your grades as well as your next assignment.

4. From a live instructor: A live Spanish tutor can teach the language at the student\'s residence. This method can provide quality training since the teacher can correct homework and give attention even to accent. But there is a dearth of such home instructors and home classes cost quite a lot.

5. At local colleges: Some colleges have a system of offering foreign language courses at a cheaper rate than regular subjects. The positive aspect is the reasonable charges but commuting and submitting to the college timings, generally a couple of times a week, become mandatory.

6. DVD or CD/ROM - With this method of learning, you play a CD/ROM on the computer, or DVD on the television. You can stop the disc and practice and you can learn as you go. This is another way of the self-paced programs that you can try if you want to learn Spanish in your home. Also many kid\'s television programs also have some Spanish lessons on them. You could learn the basics watching the show and get deeper involved as you go. Again, the downside is that you don\'t get to really interact with a live Spanish speaker to help improve your conversational Spanish skills.

So no matter what method you choose, it will probably be the best method for you, if you consider what your goals and how you best learn. There is no right way or wrong way to learn Spanish. You took that first step when you said \'teach me Spanish\'.
